This campaign spanned 15 years and reshaped a regional medical practice. Charleston ENT grew from five locations to eleven, adding two surgical centers during that time. I led the long-term animated healthcare advertising campaign design built around a simple idea. Make noses and ears the lovable stars.
The concept was literal and memorable. Character-driven animated TV commercials introduced humorous nose and ear personalities. The tone was playful but disciplined. Humor created recall. Consistency created brand equity.
The main animated nose took on a life of his own; “Sneezy” became the face of the practice. The client requested a logo redesign featuring him. The updated mark aligned with the animated campaign while remaining professional. Outdoor advertising reinforced the entire group of ear and nose characters. Bold visuals made immediate impact from the road. Environmental graphics extended the identity into clinical spaces, as a mosaic mural was commissioned for the lobby of their flagship office. The website and print materials supported the same visual system. Every touchpoint worked together.
The campaign earned three Telly Awards and multiple Healthcare Marketing Awards. More importantly, it delivered sustained growth. The practice expanded steadily while maintaining strong brand recognition.
This healthcare advertising campaign design effort demonstrates the power of long-term creative leadership. The strategy never chased trends. It built familiarity over time. As art director and designer, I guided concept, character development, execution, and evolution across many years. The work proves medical marketing can be intelligent, disciplined, and engaging. The result was not just awareness. It was transformation.
